Zack Snyder is stepping down from directing the upcoming Justice League movie due to a family tragedy. His wife, Deborah Snyder was also working on the project will be stepping down also.
Snyder told The Hollywood Reporter: “The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realization … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me. They are all having a hard time. I’m having a hard time.”
Joss Whedon (Director of Avengers & Age of Ultron) will be taking over to finish off the film.
Now, this is awful news that Zack and his wife have to leave the project under tragic circumstances, but the best person to fill his shoes has to be Joss Whedon.
My thoughts go to him and his family at this difficult time.
